The Wendy’s Great New Zealand Santa Run 2009

 More than 683 Santas turned up in the sweltering summer heat on Wednesday 9 December, to take part in the Wendy’s Great NZ Santa Run, in Auckland’s Viaduct, Hamilton, Wellington and Christchurch. Just over $10,000 was raised for Cure Kids, with event manager Shaun Collins stating: “It was a big range of people who participated – from adults to 5 year old kids dressed as elves. Everybody was running for a good cause.”

And whilst the Aussies now hold the Australasian title with 2,000 participants,  we are confident that we will to take back the honour in 2010, with even more Santa’s running for Cure Kids!
