Challenge Outline - Tues 30 September –Sat 4 October 2008
Tues 30 September 6.30pm - Novotel Auckland Ellerslie – Race Briefing and dinner. Check-in from 3pm
Wed 1 October 7.00am - Challenge commences in Auckland, finishes Wellington
Thurs 2 October - Second leg commences in Wellington, finishes in Christchurch
Friday 3 October - Final leg begins in Christchurch, finishes Queenstown, Dinner, Celebration Party and Prizegiving
Sat 4 October - Return home or take up the Accor special offer to spend the weekend in Queenstown.
For the 2008 event competitors will travel from north to south using a variety of modes of transport. This will involve hitch-hiking and also pre-arranged travel such as the interisland ferry, coaches etc. Specific details are still being finalized, but it is anticipated that unlike previous years, the event will not be solely hitchhiking based.
The means of transport, checkpoint locations and challenges will be advised along the way!
All the funds raised will go to Cure Kids to help fund vital medical research for children with life threatening illnesses.
