Cure Kids Add a Dollar Campaign
Sunday 21st June to Sunday 8th August 2010

What Add a Dollar is all about

Over the past four years the annual Cure Kids Add a Dollar campaign has raised over $1 million thanks to the generosity of public support and our participating companies. Every single cent of every single dollar goes to fund the research to improve lives and outcome of the 20 000 kiwi kids who live with life threatening illnesses.
This month stores are appealing to the generosity of shoppers, asking them to open their wallets a little a wider to add a dollar to their purchase in support of Cure Kids.

Help improve their odds in 2010

a child born with Cystic Fibrosis in 1970’s had a life expectancy of 5 years. A child born with Cystic Fibrosis in 1980’s had a life expectancy of 16 years.  A child born in 1998, as Sam was have a life expectancy of 30+ years.  With your help Cure Kids will continue to fund research to improve the odds for kids born with cystic fibrosis and give them hope that in the future their life expectancy will extend beyond 75years.

RECORD TOTAL REACHED in 2009- $420,000

During the day I have to remember to take my enzyme tablets every time I eat to digest my food (my pancreas doesn't release any stomach enzymes like most peoples). If I don't I get bad tummy cramps and the food pretty much goes straight out the other end!!!!! I usually take about 20 enzyme pills a day.
