Leah

Eleven-year-old Leah was born with a large lump on her spine and tests diagnosed her as having spina bifida. She also had a heart defect and required an operation when she was 11 months old to correct it.

Leah has continued to undergo major operations including spinal surgery.
Regular visits to hospital, renal and MRI scans are all just part of her life.

She has recently had a foot operation and will take 18 months to recover. Her dream is, once its better, to play netball like her mother Sandra and 21-year-old sister Alana. Leah also has a 13-year-old brother Freeman.

Nothing holds Leah back she wants to be part of everything. She has a reputation for being a little actress and loves singing and dancing. Her favourite sport is t-ball.
