Abbey Leeson.JPGNine year old Abbey begun to suffer from seizures at around 20 months old. As she grew older her seizures became more frequent and severe. An extended seizure at school saw her taken to hospital by ambulance when she was six years old and later that year she was formally diagnosed with having Epilepsy.

In her first two and a half years at school Abbey spent 50% of her time at home due to seizures and illness. While her condition is now controlled by medication it has not been an easy road for Abbey or her family, but they look forward to a life filled with fun, laughter and adventure for Abbey now they have her condition under control.

Abbey lives in Christchurch with her parents Scott and Trina, older sister Danielle, younger sister Brianna, younger brother Jonah and the family dog Cami.

She likes trampolining, riding on her scooter, playing on her computer and shares a love of stamping and card making with her mum.

Abbey has an outgoing personality and a great sense of humour. She also loves music and can often be found dancing around the house with her MP3 player.
