The New Zealand Cot Death Association is a non-profit, non-government
funded organisation, which was established in 1979. The organisation’s
work is focused on three critical areas of cot death:
- Helping bereaved families who have suffered the loss of a child
to Cot Death (SIDS).
- Encouraging and funding medical and scientific research into
the cause of Cot Death.
- Providing free education material to families, health professionals
etc.
If you wish to apply for a research grant in this area, grant application
forms are available on this website under Research.
The Association’s expert Medical Advisory Committee assesses
funding applications each year to ensure that all funds raised are
spent in vital areas of this particular field of research.
