The teams are now on the train in Wellington where they are instructed to get off at different stops and hitchhike their way to Rotorua – with 4 mystery challenges along the way. The hitchhiking should make for an interesting morning! We hope we get some good stories...
Be sure to check out all the photos from yesterday on Facebook – we posted heaps this morning!

What an exciting morning! The teams were up at 6am for breakfast before their next challenge at the Ibis in Wellington. They received so much attention that they made it on Breakfast TV! We hope that the clip gets aired later today online so we can share.
Funniest text from yesterday: “Funny story angel hannah in costume stuck in plane toilet panics accidentally rips hinges off door as we about to land... Mass laughing ... Door now fixed”

We just heard that Eva's Angels just fed the Bad Habits Nuns. $10 doesn't get you very far ladies! Nor does bad behavior...but these angels are forgiving. :)

The teams are now in flight to Christchurch! But before heading off they challenged the Remarkables School in a Haka followed by a Tug O’ War. We hope none of the kids were injured, we have some die hard competitors this year!

The teams are on the move! They are departing from Kawarau Jet and heading to Frankton but not before getting a brief lesson on how to do the Haka. We really really hope someone got a video of this. Come on Elvis, impress us with that voice! Show us your rage Angry Birds!!

The latest challenge in Queenstown involved raising money from the locals for a Ferburger. And it doesn’t stop there, they had to find a local to eat half of it with them! Team Angry Birds found an American couple to share their burger with...and we noticed 10 minutes later the 80’s Babies were sharing a burger with the SAME couple! And who says Americans aren’t “supersized”?

It’s been an exciting morning already! We’ve heard that team Friday Pieday had a hard time getting a ride – we can’t imagine why with those disturbing outfits!! Team Bunny have decided it was time for a carrot rest stop and we caught them at a cafe on film – I don’t think this is part of the challenge guys!! Teams have made a flying leap off a bungy, made bracelets for their ambassadors, tasted wines, sped down hills on the luge and completed a zip track. No wonder those little bunnies are tired!

The teams are off bright and early this morning...after a few teams straightened their hair?? Come on guys no prima donnas, you have to toughen up for the next few days!
Team Angry Birds won best dressed with their outrageous costumes by Cure Kids Ambassador Sophie Newbold. They had a fantastic kick off dinner last night where the teams had to present their concept for the first challenge – The Ambassador’s Gift. Over the course of the event each team must create a gift to present to their assigned Cure Kids’ ambassador at the finish line. The ideas ranged from memory boxes to hot laps! Team All Shook Up sang their pitch in the form of a country song about Simon Maddock and how they will “busk” for money towards a fishing trip. We’ll see if we can find a video of this one. Thank you, thank you very much...
The teams are now out and about completing various challenges across Queenstown. Team Peter Pan and Tinkerbell just checked in after wine tasting with a cheeky text. Please Tink, don’t drink and fly.
See photos below of all the teams in their outrageous costumes!

The teams are anxiously waiting at the airport for the journey to begin! Tonight they kick things off at a special Cure Kids launch party, where our Safety Director will give them the rules of the road. Hopefully they don’t get too rowdy tonight, they have a long few days ahead of them! Our sources tell us that the weather is sunny and spectacular with a high close to 27 in Queenstown. Hopefully our teams brought some sunblock!
