FAQsWhat assistance will Cure Kids provide?Cure Kids will allocate you a Fundraising Manager, who will help you create a fundraising plan and work with you towards raising the money. We will also provide you with a fundraising toolkit, full of ideas on how to raise money, and have a limited number of donation tins you can use. Just let us know what you need in advance!
How can I get the fundraising money to Cure Kids? Payments can be made by cheque, direct deposit into Cure Kids Account or online (your web fundraising page).
Account Number 02-0192-0017922-00 BNZ Newmarket If you are using this method you must send us an email with details of the deposit and your team name or competitor name so we know who to attribute money to. Once again, if you would like a receipt please indicate this to us and provide all details.
FundraiseOnline web pageAll people who donate online receive an automatic receipt from Cure Kids along with a thank you letter. This money is forwarded to Cure Kids and we’ll allocate all donations made on each page to the respective team. Further details regarding FundraiseOnline and setting up your page are available here. Just to be clear, Cure Kids will record all money received and attribute to your teams’ efforts. In order to make sure we are crediting the right team, please ensure all money sent or banked clearly says which team it is for, you’ll all be working so hard to fundraise, and we want to credit the right people – the sought after fundraising trophy is at stake!!
When does the fundraising close-off?We will ask you for your team pledge ten days before the race. The total pledge is the fundraising total we announce at the Launch Party. We ask that you pledge an accurate amount ie, if you have raised $15000 at the time of giving the pledge but know you have $2000 outstanding from a final event then you can pledge $17000. It is important to us as Cure Kids is liable to be audited on the total announced.
What if I don’t raise the $10, 750 before the launch party?Contact your Fundraising Manager in good time if you feel this is going to be an issue.
What can be offered to private/individual sponsors?Exposure on your fundraise online page (along with official event sponsors) and on any written material you prepare. Please ensure that anything you propose to give out regarding the event is approved by Cure Kids first. You can sell sponsorship on your race clothing - sleeve, bum, legs, but not your bib space.
What are the guide lines for Fancy Dress of your support crew?Fancy dress it absolutely encouraged for your support crew, and we have no guidelines around what you can wear (although please, try to keep it decent!) The Great Adventure Race is a fun event and the more fun you have with it the better! Feel free to contact us for ideas, or check out the photo slideshow of past events for a little inspiration.
