Host a Morning Tea
The official date is July 15th, but you can hold your event any time in June/July. The concept is simple, host a morning tea for your friends or workmates. If you’ve got an online fundraising page you can email invites and manage RSVPs to keep costs low. Holding a morning tea at work? Ask your employer to support your fundraising efforts by matching the funds you raise. Auction off donated items at your morning tea or convince your friends and colleagues to donate a special skill for auction.
Host an Event
Organise a Quiz night; auction off your boss or team leader; host an activity at your child’s school to raise money; host an event with your friends and workmates; wash some cars (with a special discount to the cars that have a red nose!).
Sell something
Create your own special Red Nose Day products and sell at your workplace, school or to family and friends; have a garage or car boot sale and donate the funds raised.
Bake
New Zealand renowned chef Allyson Gofton has created a special Cadbury recipe for Red Nose Day. Bake Jaffa cupcakes or decorate your own cake with Jaffas. Sell your cakes at work or to your neighbours.
Dress Up
Dress up for the day. Wear something red, or a wig or a silly hat. The whole team at work can join in the fun for a donation to Cure Kids.
Start a campaign
Set up a campaign on Fundraise Online to raise money. Set some goals and update everyone via your own personal page. Need some inspiration? Grow or shave your hair, lose 10lbs, or participate in a sporting challenge – all for the kids! The more inventive and silly your campaign is the more money you’ll raise.
Decorate
Celebrate the day by decorating your house or desk in red! Find anything red and play around for the day, organise a breakfast with your friends with red napkins or red candles, and get some red flowers. Holding on to those old Christmas lights? Decorate the outside of your home in red lights and show your support. It’s all about having some fun and a break from your routine.

Get your company involved and plan a whole day around Red Nose Day! Costume contests, cake-offs, re-sell Red Nose Day merchandise, auctions – the ideas are limitless!
