The gentleman of the track! Ray Williams is as well known for his cheerful, helpful personality as he is for his fast, accurate and awe inspiring driving style! On 16 March 1996 Ray and his Porsche 930 Turbo “The Ivory Beast” succeeded in breaking eight New Zealand Land Speed Records – including the coveted “Outright Land-speed Record." Ray is proud to have been declared one of New Zealand’s “Legends of Speed” – a group of motorsport heroes, both competitors and those who have given invaluable support to New Zealand motorsport and now Ray is supporting Cure Kids to help raise $50,000 through the Targa rally this year.
