Part of the challenge for Walk on the Wild Side is fundraising an additional $300 per person over and above the entry fee. This can be a really fun experience, where you can work together as a team to host an event, run a bake sale, or do something out of the ordinary to raise the money. Alternatively, you'll be surprised at how much money you can raise simply by setting up a FundraiseOnline page! The team at Cure Kids are excited to work with you and help you reach your fundraising goal.

Fundraiseonline is a simple and effective way for you to raise the fundraising target of $300 per person. It allows you to get creative with stories and photos to help support your efforts, while sending donations directly to Cure Kids and providing a receipt for donors. If you wish you can use the page as a fundraising hub, updating it with photos, blogging about your training progress etc. You can send the page to your friends and family quickly with a few easy steps.

This is a great way to raise the money; you only need 30 friends to sponsor you $10 each and you're there!

Social Media

Facebook and Twitter are excellent ways to market your involvement in the event. You can link to your fundraising page via Facebook, follow other teams in the event, or Tweet your fundraising and training progress along the way! Cure Kids is on Facebook as well, find us online to get event updates and support.

Utilise your talents

Are you an artist? Can you sew or bake? This can be a fun way to raise money - perhaps by selling your world-famous cupcakes at work on a Friday, or offering to paint portraits at the local market. At Cure Kids we truly believe you should have fun while fundraising, so think of something you'd really enjoy to do!

Additional Fundraising Events

With a little additional effort, you can host a really fun event to reach your team goal of $300 per person. This can be a great way to also test how you'll work as a team! Here are just a few ideas to help get you started:

• Run a Quiz Night
• Workplace Challenges (eg the Biggest Loser!)
• Raffles
• Karaoke Night / Bowling Night
• Bake Offs
• Auctions
• Shave your head or grow your moustache (for a fee!)
• Donation tins (provided by Cure Kids)
