Event Rules and Information
Walk on the Wild Side is an event for both teams or individuals, for corporates, friends and family: we welcome as many participants as possible. All participants must agree to the
Event Entry Waiver upon registration.
All participants must wear their supplied official race number throughout the event.
Participants must wear or carry the mandatory safety clothing items of a woollen or polypropylene long-sleeved top and a rain jacket plus take sufficient fluid and food over the course.
Any withdrawals on course must be advised to race officials.
Approximately 1km of the course will take place on public roads. These roads will NOT be closed to public traffic. Competitors must comply with all road traffic safety rules and the directions of race officials throughout these sections.
The course will be clearly marked throughout and monitored by race officials. Participants must follow the marked course and the instructions of officials at all times and respect the rights and privacy of the private landowners.
For your health and safety, a course cut-off time of 3.5 hours after the event start will be in place at the halfway Aid Station at Constable Road. Participants that fail to meet that cut-off time, or for any other reason cannot continue, will be provided transport to return to Bethells Beach.
The course may be modified at any time by the organisers due to adverse weather or other circumstances deemed significant by the Event Director.
