Cure Kids were thrilled that they were chosen for the third consecutive year as the recipient charity for funds raised by the Miss Howick 2008 contestants.

This year Miss Howick celebrated its 20th anniversary and on Saturday 26th July, Gina Beazley was crowed Miss Howick 2008.

Miss Howick is a popular annual event spreading to the wider area of Howick, Botany and East Tamaki.

Simon Duffy, Cure Kids General Manager was presented with a cheque for $2,070 which brought the fundraising by the contestants to $2,290.00  which is a great result.  Charnay Mouldey raised the most money for Cure Kids and as Miss Charity Queen 2008 received a Bliss Deluxe voucher, kindly donated by Bliss Reflexology.  

Over the past years many Miss Howick titleholders have won the Miss Auckland and/or Miss New Zealand Asia pacific title, increasing the popularity of these two events for sponsors and contestants alike.
