The 2010 Granting round received many high calibre research projects which required funding. Cure Kids, through its Medical & Scientific Advisory Committee, went through a rigorous process until a final recommendation was made for six projects. The Cure Kids Board approved the 2010 funding for the following projects:

Project 1 - Echocardiography (ultrasound or heart scanning) detection of Rheumatic Heart Disease in New Zealand - a model for screening
