Cure Kids Ventures Ltd ($8 million investment fund)
In 2007 Cure Kids Ventures Ltd was appointed by the New Zealand government (through its Venture Investment Fund) to be a Seed Co-Investment Fund (SCIF) Manager. Cure Kids Ventures Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Child Health Research Foundation. Our shared objectives are to co-invest in seed and start-up businesses with high potential for growth and with products capable of improving health outcomes, particularly for children. The government has pledged $4 million to Cure Kids Ventures Ltd and Child Health Research Foundation has matched this sum. Where necessary, we will be seeking outside investors as well. Cure Kids Ventures is a “for profit” entity with future profits being re-invested back to Child Health Research Foundation and Cure Kids to fund further leading edge research.
