Lottery Terms and Conditions

1. The lottery is being organised and run by Cure Kids, a registered charity (CC25350) at 205 Great South Road, Greenlane, Auckland 1051.

2. The purpose of the lottery is to raise funds for child health research.

3. By purchasing a lottery ticket, you are entering this lottery and you are bound by the terms and conditions below.

Tickets

4. Tickets are available for purchase from 22 September 2025 to 17 December 2025.

5. There are 10,000 tickets available for purchase in the lottery, numbered from 10,001 to 20,000

6. Tickets are available for purchase for NZ$45 each or in groups of three for NZ$100 (prices are inclusive of GST).

7. There is no limit on the number of tickets that can be purchased by any one person.

8. Ticketholders are eligible to win multiple Prizes.

9. Tickets will be issued by email. If no email is provided, the tickets will be posted to the address specified at the time of purchase.

Prizes

10. There are four Prizes available. This includes three General Prizes:

(a) First Prize is a Volkswagen ID. Buzz, 5 seater, in Candy White / Bay Leaf Green Metallic, worth a MRP value of NZ$135,190.00. This value is correct at the time of print of these terms and conditions and may differ at the time of prize draw.

(b) Second Prize is a voucher for Briscoes valued at NZ$10,000

(c) Third Prize is a Rebel Sport voucher valued at NZ$5,000.00

11. There is one Early Bird Prize available. The Early Bird Prize is a Prezzy® Card valued at NZ$10,000.

Eligibility

12. To be eligible to purchase a ticket, you must be at least 18 years of age and live in New Zealand.

13. To be eligible to win the First Prize, ticketholders must have a valid New Zealand Drivers Licence. The winner of the First Prize must provide evidence of the valid New Zealand Drivers Licence to Cure Kids within four weeks of notification so that transfer of ownership of the First Prize can be completed. If not provided, the First Prize will be forfeited, and a new winner drawn.

14. To be eligible to win the Early Bird Prize, you must buy a ticket before 31 October 2025.

General Prizes

15. The First Prize is issued and provided directly from Volkswagen New Zealand. The First Prize includes pre-delivery and registration costs and delivery (in New Zealand) to the winner through the nearest Volkswagen New Zealand dealership. The First Prize will be available to the winner no later than 28 February 2026, subject to availability and any manufacturing or delivery delays outside the promoter’s control. It is the responsibility of the winner of the First Prize to arrange their own insurance. The vehicle image used in advertising and promotional material is for illustrative purposes only and may not depict the exact specifications of the prize vehicle. The prize will be the same model as advertised and of equivalent value, but specifications (including colour, features, and finishes) may vary at the Promoter’s discretion.

16. The Second Prize is issued and distributed by Briscoes Homeware and is subject to terms and conditions available at www.briscoes.co.nz. The Second Prize is redeemable at Briscoes physical and online stores and expire 24 months from the date of issue. The Second Prize is non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash from Briscoes Homeware. The Briscoes voucher will be provided to the winner via courier to the address provided.

17. The Third Prize is issued and distributed by Rebel Sport and is subject to terms and conditions available at www.rebelsport.co.nz. The Third Prize is redeemable at Rebel Sport physical and online stores and expire 24 months from the date of issue. The Second Prize is non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash from Rebel Sport. The Rebel Sport voucher will be provided to the winner via courier to the address provided.

General Prize Draw

18. The prize draw for the three General Prizes will take place on 19 December 2025 at 12pm at Russell McVeagh, Vero Centre at Level 30, 48 Shortland Street, Auckland 1010.

19. The General Prize draw will be by blind and random selection of the numbers on the tickets purchased, under the supervision of an independent witness in accordance with Rule 6 (14) of the Gambling Act (Lottery) Game Rules 2004.

20. The winners of the General Prizes will be published in Sunday Star Times on 21 December 2025 and on Cure Kids website, Facebook, Instagram and via eDM on 22 December 2025.

21. All ticker holders will be notified of the winners of General Prizes by email. The winners of the General Prizes will be contacted by telephone and notified in writing.

22. If a winner cannot be contacted or does not claim their Prize within four weeks of notification (subject to any delay in collecting the First Prize), then Cure Kids reserves the right to re-draw a winner for that Prize.

The Early Bird Prize and Prize Draw

23. The prize draw for the Early Bird Prize will take place on 5 November 2025 at 12pm at Russell McVeagh, Vero Centre at Level 30, 48 Shortland Street, Auckland 1010.

24. The Early Bird Prize draw will be by blind and random selection of the numbers on the tickets purchased, under the supervision of an independent witness in accordance with Rule 6 (14) of the Gambling Act (Lottery) Game Rules 2004.

25. The Early Bird Prize is issued and distributed by ePay Limited and is subject to terms and conditions available at prezzycard.co.nz. Prezzy Cards can be redeemed at any merchant, physical or online, that accepts electronic scheme card transactions. Fees and charges may apply to certain uses of the Prezzy Card. Cash withdrawals or manual processing are not supported. The Prezzy card will be provided to the winner via courier to the address provided.

26. The winner of the Early Bird Prize will be published on Cure Kids website, Facebook, Instagram and via eDM on 10 November 2025 and in the Sunday Star Times on 9 November 2025.

27. All ticker holders will be notified of the winners of Early Bird Prize by email. The winner of the Early Bird Prize will be contacted by telephone and notified in writing.

28. If the winner of the Early Bird Prize does not claim the Early Bird Prize on or before 17 December 2025, a new winner of the Early Bird Prize will selected at the same time and in via the same process as the General Prize Draw.

Cancellation of Lottery

29. Cure Kids reserves the right to cancel the lottery at any time prior to the prize draws.

30. In the event of cancellation, cancellation will be published on the Cure Kids website, social media, via eDM and in the Sunday Star Times.

31. In the event of cancellation of this lottery, Cure Kids will refund all ticket costs to the ticket holders.

Gambling Act 2003

This lottery is conducted by licence issued by the Department of Internal Affairs under section 37 of the Gambling Act 2003 (LT090000847).

Ticket Holder Information

33. To purchase a ticket, you must provide Cure Kids with your name and contact details.

34. By providing Cure Kids with personal information, you authorise Cure Kids to store this information in its data base and to use it to contact you about the vital child research Cure Kids enables. You can opt out of any of these communications using the ‘unsubscribe’ button at the bottom of emails, or by contacting us.

35. You agree that if you win any of the Prizes, your name and details may be used in the aforementioned publications and for publicity and/or promotional purposes.

General

36. To the extent permitted by law, Cure Kids:

(a) reserves the right to make reasonable amendments to these terms and conditions where strictly necessary;

(b) will not be liable for any loss arising to any winners or participants in connection with this raffle or any Prizes;

(c) reserves the rights to disqualify participants where they have acted unlawfully, fraudulently or in breach of these terms and conditions.
