Cure Kids launches first-ever lottery to support child health research

22 September 2025

Cure Kids has launched its first-ever lottery, giving New Zealanders the chance to win incredible prizes while helping fund vital research into children’s health.

Tickets go on sale from 22 September to 17 December 2025, with only 10,000 tickets available. Each ticket costs $45, or $100 for three, with multi-buy pricing applying to each set of three. There is no limit on the number of tickets an individual can purchase, and ticketholders are eligible to win multiple prizes.

The grand prize is a brand-new Volkswagen ID. Buzz, a fully electric five-seater van worth a MRP value of $135,190.00. Other major prizes include a $10,000 Briscoes voucher, a $5,000 Rebel Sport voucher, and an early bird prize of a $10,000 Prezzy® Card.

Cure Kids CEO Frances Soutter said the lottery is an exciting opportunity for New Zealanders to win big while supporting life-changing research.

“Every ticket purchased helps us fund big research for little lives. This research is vital to improving the health of children across Aotearoa.”

The early bird prize will be drawn on 5 November 2025, with the winner announced on 10 November 2025. The General Prizes will be drawn on 19 December 2025, with winners announced on 22 December 2025. The winner of the Volkswagen ID. Buzz will receive their vehicle through the nearest Volkswagen New Zealand dealership no later than 28 February 2026.

Cure Kids warmly acknowledges the generous support of its partners, including Volkswagen New Zealand, Briscoe Group, Prezzy Card, and media partner JCDecaux, who have helped make this lottery possible.

Tickets are available from 22 September 2025 at https://lottery.curekids.org.nz/.
