Cure Kids is proud to be co-funding New Zealand’s first national eye health survey, supporting research led by Associate Professor Joanna Black and Dr Rebecca Findlay to better understand children’s vision.
Our funding enables testing of 7-year-old children for refractive error, as a first step towards understanding the scale of this issue. The research will also explore barriers to accessing primary eye care and examine links between refractive error, reading ability and social-emotional learning in New Zealand children.
Thank you to the generous donors who have made this possible. Read the article here.
