My primary research focus is in on Māori experiences of inequity. My research methodological specialities are Kaupapa Māori and qualitative research.

My PhD research was on the experiences of tuberculosis in Aotearoa, New Zealand, with a strong focus on health inequities. As a medical anthropologist who has worked across social science and medical faculties, I am well suited to cross-discipline academic environments. My primary research focus is in on Māori experiences of inequity. My research methodological specialities are Kaupapa Māori and qualitative research. I work within a number of health and health care fields that include: Access and utilisation, tuberculosis, rheumatic fever, rheumatic heart disease and aged-care.
