Nicky-Marie has a masters of speech language therapy and is one of very few Māori speech-language therapist of Aotearoa.
She is fluent in Te Reo Māori me ōna Tikanga and has practiced as an SLTs in Te Tairāwhiti since 2014. TAAM is her ūkaipo and has strong interests in supporting Māori tamariki, whānau and Kaiako of Te Tairāwhiti, who face challenges with SLC. She brings experience in facilitating wānanga (Current facilitator of Ngā Takiwātanga Marae Wānanga), engagement with whānau and kaiako Māori as well as her networks in the region.
