Dr Peter CHoi is a research chemist working at the Auckland Cancer Society Research Centre, FMHS, University of Auckland. He completed a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in medicinal chemistry and a PhD in synthetic organic chemistry at the University of Auckland under the supervision of Distinguished Professor Dame Margaret Brimble.
After completing his PhD, he was appointed as a Research Fellow and worked with Distinguished Professor Bill Denny and Associate Professor Brian Palmer at the Auckland Cancer Society Research Centre as a medicinal chemist, focusing on the design and synthesis of novel drugs for tuberculosis in collaboration with the TB Alliance. He holds the position of Associate Investigator at the Maurice Wilkins Centre for Molecular Biodiscovery and is also a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Auckland.
